Thoughts and pictures of my local minor league baseball team the New York Penn League Connecticut Tigers; a Detriot farm team. We'll still be looking at former Navigators/Defenders players along the way....

Someone once told me that every MLBB team

playing a 162 game schedule will win 50 games and lose 50 games. It's that you do about those other 50 or so games that determines whether you are a winner or a loser once October rolls around.
With our home town team the Tigers the same is true. Today's 2-0 loss in the rubber game of their series against Auburn is the third straight series they've lost 2 games to one and also the third straight series they've lost the rubber game and are now barely above the .500 mark. Remarkably the team is only a game out of first place.
With today's shut out the Tigers scoreless inning streak over the last three games is 17
Let's hope a couple of days off, sort of, since five Tigers are in the All-Star game Tuesday, will re-energize the bats.

Pics from yesterday top to bottom: Enos scores, Nunez fields, J-Rod in profile, Soares thinking.....
Remembr to click on the images to increase the size of the pics.....
