A tree grows in Brooklyn and the Tigers lose 3-2...

in 11 innings tonight. The Cyclones tied the game at 2-2 in the bottom of the 9th on a lead off homer off Tigers reliever Tyler Clark. The baby Mets then won it as Matt Perry's throwing error on a sac bunt allowed the winning run to score.
Brennan Smith started for Ct and went 7 Ip scattering 8 hits but giving up just a solo homer. Clark (2-1) pitched three innings and takes the loss.
The Tigers wrapped out 10 hits, 9 of them singles but could only manage 2 runs in the game. Vermont lost so the Tigers are still a half game behind the Lake Monsters for first place in the division.

Misc fan notes: 8700+ fans tuned out for the game down there tonight.....
