2011 Tigers schedule is released....
thanks to Defsfan for the heads up. The season breaks down with 5 home games in June, 13 home games in July, 16 home games in August and all 4 Sept dates are at home.
Game start times are the same as last year with 7:05 Monday thru Saturday and 1:05 on Sundays. There is a camp day scheduled for Monday July 25 at 12:05 (I sense I'll be off that day.)
Like this past season, the 2011 schedule is kind of heavy in August/Sept with home games.
From the team's site: "The Tigers will play five Friday night games during the summer of 2011, as well as seven Saturdays and seven Sundays. Some notable series include July 2 - July 3 against the Lowell Spinners; July 9 -July 11 against the Brooklyn Cyclones; August 17 - August 19 against the Staten Island Yankees; and September 2 - September 4 against the Lowell Spinners."
Some other things I noticed when looking at the schedule is that Vermont changed affiliates from the National to the Athetics and Auburn changed from the Blue Jays to the Nationals.
Mahoning Valley, Auburn and State College will not be appearing at Dodd in '11.

The players need more time off. It was evident during the summer days that most of them were completely wiped out. 25 straight games and then one off day. 13 straight games then an off day. 19 straight games then All Star Break. Finishing with 19 straight games. and Hopefully one run losses don't come and bite us again. Near the start of this past season(when Vermont was tearing up the league), one of the players predicted that the playoff race would come down to the last game of the season. Sure enough, they were right.
I can't wait for this upcoming season at Dodd, as the ownership will have had an entire off-season to make whatever necessary changes needed, as opposed to before this season they 2 months to do many months of preparation.
