Thoughts and pictures of my local minor league baseball team the New York Penn League Connecticut Tigers; a Detriot farm team. We'll still be looking at former Navigators/Defenders players along the way....

I often wonder if EME will be one of life's true tragedies or was he just over rated.

Personally, he drove me nuts. Always felt he had the talent, but wasn't willing to do the work to bring it out and achieve greatness.

I agree; he just seemed "soft" to me...

eme always had a great bat...but did nothing during offseasons to improve his arm or defense

as we are seeing with nate...teams need defensive of's

as was stated to baggs from an ml scout...nate could start for a number of teams in the bigs

eme is now an org guy....maybe he can get a couple of seasons in asia....but he will never make it to the bigs...even for a cup of coffee

what a waste of talent

fyi...madbum is getting the rookie treatement from umps in his sophmore season

2 games...2 umps that have decided to change ball and strike calls batter to batter...which is totally frustrating to madbum...and he took it out on the duggout tonite....will try to find the vid

one thing i have learned....if madbum ultimately fails as a pitcher, they could try him as an of....he was the only hitter, outside of burrell, to work kershaw and got the first hit off him in the third...he looks great at the plate

Bacci,

If EME had a great bat, he left it on the West coast when he came East. We never saw even a glimpse of it.

No argument about Nate's potential.

Bumgarner was arguably one of the better hitters on the team when he was in Norwich. And he does have to learn to control his temper.

Hope all is well with you.

hondo,

you know durn well that the dodd is where bats go to die.

madbum is a special athlete, and you are right, he has gotta learn to curb his emotions...but come on...technically, he is still a kid

a kid with a nice fat contract

everything is ok...relatively speaking

heres hoping the tigers send you guys some interesting prospects this season
