Thoughts and pictures of my local minor league baseball team the New York Penn League Connecticut Tigers; a Detriot farm team.
We'll still be looking at former Navigators/Defenders players along the way....

Wonder if Kelly's feet have touch the ground yet...
best thing about the dinger was, that he tried really hard to keep his game face rounding the bases, but when he saw the guys in the duggout all excited, he couldnt stop from cracking a smile
craw was the one to tell him how historic his hr was, and who the last giant was to do it, and off of which pitcher (clark off of ryan...first pitch)
Wow, what a nice moment for a real nice guy. Thanks for the link Bacci.
I still swear one of his dingers at Dodd disappeared coming down in the trees in left field. Had to be 400+. Of course Greg, LC, & Joe P were all in abstentia. Maybe I'll meet someone down the road who was there and remembers it.
Hi Greg!! Well, yes my feet have actually touched the ground, but what a night!! COULD NOT believe it....so cool! My sister noticed this on your blog and told me about it. Just thought I'd pop on over here and say Hi to everyone. We will never forget Connecticut....great times there. Hope you are doing good!
very upset that the giants broadcast didnt even attempt to find you and the rest of the clan in the stands at petco...hope you guys will be in sf on friday nite, cuz im sure amy g will get you on the air
so please...give a big hug to brett from all the gang here
Unfortunately, we won't be there this weekend. Our younger son was drafted by the Mets in June, and he should be coming home any day. His team, the Brooklyn Cyclones, are in the playoffs and the games keep getting rained out. We were up in San Francisco the first weekend after Brett arrived. We were right in the front at Petco, but who would have thought he would hit one out?? Crazy, that's for sure. I can definitely give Brett a big hug from everyone! LOL Thanks to all for your support. Talk to you again soon!
we had been talking about him on another blog during the draft, and how cool it would be for the giants to draft him (getting kinda thin in the pitching dept)
but giants went for more position players in the first two days
he should be fine in the mets org
cyclones play in a great stadium...good fan base
he will enjoy fl next season, except for the humidity
enjoy...im sure there will be many more opportunities for you to watch brett in person
now how cool would it be if a couple of years from now, tyler is facing brett in a game
