In really late breaking news....Rule V draft results

are in. Three Defenders were selected in the Dec. 2006 draft. Lefty Jesse Floyd, catcher Brian Munhall and 3B Brian Buscher. Floyd and Buscher went to the Twins and Munhall went to Texas. I have a feeling we'll see Floyd and Buscher back in the Eastern League with the New Britian RockCats in 2007. Floyd had no run support and pitched in bad luck all season. Buscher was the most improved player on the team last year following his 2005 season and next to Nate the most steady player. Munhall started the year as the back up catcher and briefly was the #1 catcher until an injury ended his year.

He always signing autos and is one of those players who when you watch him, clearly loves playing the game. "D-Mac" is a fan favorite here. Having said that, I hope he sticks with Fresno this year and keeps on moving up!
